Amazing place with very unique geology and incredible vistas. Many of hike are great for just enjoying the environment. Definitely and must see place if in Vegas. Full review by josha250
There is lots of information and resources on the website and the visitor center is very nice and the staff is very helpful. You will actually want to buy a car pass in advance.

It is right outside of downtown Las Vegas so I would check a weather app. If you hike up the mountains, it will be colder. Very dry though, so bring more water than you think you would need.
