The Detroit Lions have released their list of inactive players for the Week 3 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. Two players were already ruled out on the final injury report. Cornerback Ennis Rakestraw and safety Ifeatu Melifonwu are both out due to injuries, with Rakestraw’s coming in pregame warmups in Week 2.

The Detroit Lions will be without a defensive leader against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon in Week 3. Linebacker Alex Anzalone has been put on the team's inactive list after he suffered a concussion against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta suffered an ankle at the end of the first half against the Arizona Cardinals and had to exit the game. In the third quarter, it was announced that LaPorta had an ankle injury and was questionable to return.

Detroit has the edge in the all-time series, with a record of 35-28-6. The Lions have won the past four of five matchups, as one of those was a tie 27-27 in Arizona on Sept. 8, 2019. Detroit won the more recent matchup at Ford Field 30-12 on Dec. 19, 2021.
