Authorities say two monkeys have been returned to a South Carolina compound that breeds the animals for medical research.

The ongoing search for more than a dozen monkeys in South Carolina has fanned the flames of opposition to plans to build a monkey facility in South Georgia.

Yemassee Police report there are now 30 escaped monkeys recovered. The primates all appear to be in good health and were brought back to the facility without harm. Authorities are still working to capture the remaining primates.
