General Motors is recalling nearly 450,000 vehicles in the U.S. over concerns that the electronic brake control module software may not show a warning light when a loss of brake fluid occurs.

General Motors is recalling 449,671 pickup trucks and SUVs in the U.S. due to inoperative low brake fluid warning, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday.

DETROIT (AP) —General Motors is recalling more than 449,000 of its SUVs and pickup trucks because the electronic brake control module software may fail to display a warning light when a loss of brake fluid takes place.

General Motors (NYSE:GM) is conducting a noncompliance recall of nearly 450,000 of its vehicles after identifying an issue with its brake fluid indicator systems. An assessment from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that certain GM vehicles could be at a high risk of a crash in the event of a brake fluid leak,
