Michigan State didn't learn until Thursday night that two of their starting wide receivers would not play in Saturday's game against Boston College. Still, Michigan State showed potential in its first loss of the season.

Michigan State’s run game, outside of Chiles, is still struggling to get going. Chiles registered 57 yards on the ground on nine carries — most of which were him scrambling because the original play broke down. Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams recorded 61 of the team’s 127 rushing yards on 15 carries.
