On Thursday night, rookie quarterback Drake Maye made his NFL debut during garbage time, running out the clock while getting some enhanced preseason reps against a stout defense.

With the game out of reach, Maye entered with 4:24 left in the fourth quarter against the New York Jets, replacing Jacoby Brissett. Overall, the Patriots' offense had a rough night, but Brissett failed to provide a spark. He was 12 of 18 for 98 yards.
