Leaders and Workers of the Biju Janata Dal held protests in front of Raj Bhawan over the incident on Sunday in Bhubaneswar.

The video surfaced days after an Army officer and his fiancee, Ankita Pradhan, alleged that they were subjected to sexual and physical abuse by cops at the Bharatpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar where they had gone to file a complaint in connection with the late-night attack.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Army chief general (retired) VK Singh and several others reacted strongly to the alleged torture of an Indian Army officer and “sexual assault” of his fiancée inside a police station in Odisha's Bhubaneswar.

Rahul Gandhi said that crimes against women have become completely uncontrolled and unbridled under the BJP government.

Congress leaders condemned the Odisha incident involving the alleged assault of an army man and his fiancée, demanding accountability and justice.
