CBI sleuths on Saturday started questioning another doctor, allegedly close to the arrested former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh, in connection with their probe into the rape-murder case.

Biswas was recently transferred from Burdwan Medical College and Hospital to Kakdwip Hospital in South 24 Parganas district by the West Bengal government. He appeared before CBI officers at their CGO Complex office in Salt Lake area,

As per CBI, Dr Birupaksha Biswas was seen at the hospital on August 9 – the day of the crime – despite no official engagement there.

The CBI, during its submission in the Sealdah court on Friday, said that Ghosh has not been cooperating with the investigators.
