Mar 30, 2013 · I have an Optiplex 755 USFF desktop computer that required the cmos battery to be replaced. After replacement the computer will not boot. It brings up the start windows menu, sasfe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode command prompt, last know good configuration and start normally.

It's not said what size your 755 is, the locations are similar for the MT, DT, and SFF. USFF has the jumper pins (PSWD and RTCRST) next to each other. Oct 21, 2021 · A Dell 755 used as a secondary PC no longer recognizes the 'C:' drive after the system battery failed and was replaced. When I put the PC in 'Setup' mode, everything seems OK EXCEPT no C: drive is recognized when I try to set up the boot sequence. A drive attached to the 'SATA-0' port on the motherboard appears to be recognized as a 'D:' drive.
