Mar 23, 2010 · I have a Diabetic Alert Dog I have had a Diabetic Alert Dog for 4.5 years I live in Sydney Australia. I'm a volunteer for assistance dog program. Our dogs are free, we rely on donations and corporate sponsership. I have had britttle diabetes for 44 years and have hypo unawareness among other diabetic complications.

I used to be able to eat greek yogurt, but now it does spike me over 120. I don't have good luck with cottage cheese, plus it has a lot of sodium in it.

Berries are fine, as long as I don't eat large quantities. Grapes are tough to eat "safely" because of their sugar content. DKA, actually EDKA (Euglycemic Diabetic Ketoacidosis) is associated with the SGLT-2 inhibitor class of drugs (Farxiga, Invokana, Jardiance, and others) and not the GLP-1 agonists class of drugs (Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy, Victoza, Trulicity, and others) to my knowledge.

Jul 17, 2024 · The ADA list an A1c of over 6.5, fasting BG over 126, or a 200+ reading 2 hours into an oral glucose tolerance test. It sounds to me like you may already be diabetic. The A1c is the last thing to go up to confirm it. My take on your high blood sugar and your starving feeling is due to insulin resistance.
