Jan 8, 2021 · Another issue for me was once installing the elgato software it auto over took my previous mics filters in SLOBS for the whole wave link software. I had issues where low sound wasn't transmitting due to previous headset filter. Removed all and this works. Currently no issues and happy with the product.
Wave Link SHOULD be allowed to be used without Wave mics
Oct 1, 2021 · With the new Stream Deck +, Elgato has allowed access to Wavelink without buying the mic or WaveXLR, still an expensive solution for the software but most streamers will eventually want a Stream Deck anyways, plus it has actual audio knobs which i can see being very useful alongside the WaveLink software. 1. Feb 15, 2022 · The answer is that each Channel of the Wave software can be set as either an ouput (speaker) or an input (mic). In this case you want to selct your mic (in the program you are using to talk to your friends) to be "Wave Link Microphone FX." This the the microphone channel with the VSTs working. The MIC IN option is just the raw mic. Hope this helps

Mar 14, 2024 · I use the Elgato Wave 3 and Wave Link. I route all sounds into Wave Link. I place the mic within 4 inches of my face. I point the mic at my face. I use a boom arm and shock mount to decouple the mic from the desk. I use the external pop filter in addition to the built in pop filter in the Wave 3. I speak 45 degrees away from directly into the mic.
