Take a rowboat (I found one in the center of camp), stand on it then read the sign. This should allow the 1st dialogue to stay on screen, as well as trigger the 2nd text which caused the achievement to trigger.

I was just denied trying to inspect two separate things, including the writing at Shark Fin Camp. The first was the sign above the tavern on Sanctuary outpost. Both close out the dialogue before you have a chance to even hit continue. I was doing just fine before I hit those two.

Me an my crew run 1 to 2 skull first a night depending on when it spawns. We were on a particularly active server this particular night. We were running order of souls missions till one showed up and were in the middle of a mission when one popped up at Shark Fin Camp right next to us. It was exciting to see it that close.

Empty vaults - Sea of Thieves
So after clearing out shark fin camp and killing the captain, in a 2 player crew, we pick up the key in the hopes of collecting several chests for a big reward . But as it seems, the vault was empty. No chests whatsoever, non under the sand to dig up or anything. What gives!
