Flight Test: G5 Cirrus SR22T - Pilot
Oct 4, 2024 · Made from a carbon fibre/Kevlar combination, the blades are amazingly tough, as well as being more than five kilos lighter than those of comparable metal props. The G5 is taller than the original SR22. The mainwheel track has been reduced by 49cm by decreasing the included angle between the undercarriage legs.

Oct 20, 2024 · A saving grace is that PilotAware’s voice alert also gives you its vertical distance, a helpful kick-up-the-pants when you’re told the target is just 100 feet below and climbing, even if you don’t know in which direction. And anyway, if it all gets too much, you can always switch off the bearingless option.

The final HAPS (High Altitude Platform System) flight touched down on 13 September in Arizona, USA, concluding the ‘most ambitious and effective’ Zephyr flight campaign to date.
