For comparison, the Sniper Rifle does 40 damage. Hellfire Troopers have 40 DR, so that makes the Combat Shotgun do 3.9*9 damage, or 35 damage a shot versus a Sniper Rifle doing 22.

Dec 7, 2022 · For some reason I found the automatic version of combat shotgun either has ridiculous spread or something else holding it back, because the base damage is pitiful against anything that isn't right in front of your face. Thankfully that won't matter on a wounding legendary.

Mar 15, 2023 · perhaps the best legendary effect is the friends you made along the way. Explosive by far, way more damage than the 2 shot, and you will have yourself a sniper basically. The double shot on shotguns only make it shoot one more pellet, so instead of 10 it shoots 11, just thought you should know.
