Dec 14, 2020 · I find the center screen on the i-pace often too bright at night, and it's particularly bad under CarPlay, even with dark mode enabled. There seems to a bug with the display brightness that causes it to fail to dim as much as it should in low light conditions.

Jan 4, 2024 · I've had to add a remote controlled LED strip light along the edge of our drive as the rear camera was rubbish at showing it. The wing mirror cameras seem worse to me, completely useless unless there's a lot of light around.

Feb 22, 2013 · Tonight my Nav maps stayed in day mode (started car in dark, auto lights on, automatic mode set in Nav setup). It didn't sort itself out until I had stopped and locked then came back to it an hour later and went straight into night mode.

Aug 10, 2024 · Do you have a regular rear view mirror or the camera based ClearSight mirror? I have a regular rear view mirror and non-tinted rear window. The mirror does not have a switch for night and day mode (which I had in previous cars), but I believe that it is auto dimming.

Nov 13, 2012 · My dashboard screen backlight seems to have blown. The brightness of the screen doesn't increase when I turn up the illumination on the rest of the dashboard at night. The screen still switches mode when the headlights are on, but it's difficult to see the maps - I've turned the brightness up as far as I can for the moment.

how is autodimming rear view mirror supposed to work
Dec 5, 2016 · The mirror now thinks its night and a car is shining its headlights on you. The mirror and the two outside ones turn black. If you remove the covers from the holes they should return to normal clear glass.

Aug 28, 2021 · The image in my rear-view mirror is too dark to be useful. In daylight, I can’t see what’s behind me while wearing sunglasses. If I remove the sunglasses and focus on the mirror, it’s better, but I can’t identify, for example, a police car.

Jul 11, 2024 · I want to change out windshield for non-heated but Jaguar dealer says that they cannot allow since they believe it may not re-calibrate with cars electronics. I was willing to pay but they won't do it. I called Jaguar customer care but referred me back to dealer. Has anyone encountered this problem? Does anyone have a direct line to Jaguar?
