How does an OBS F-150 compare to a modern F-150 for truck
I think your asking an OBS to do what a new truck does and that’s unreasonable. OBS can do what you ask for, however it’s comes at the cost of comfort and reliability. The newest OBS came out in 96. That’s almost 30 years old. The Nostalgia isn’t always worth the hype. I remember driving an OBS back in the day and it’s overrated.

OBS all the way, 1992-1996, I like 1994-1995s the best, obd1 (obd2 gets emissions tested in my state) and I prefer the airbag steering wheel that the 1994 and 5 has. Go 351 if you can. Reply reply

Apr 22, 2023 · Most people call any 73-97 ford “OBS,” some only call the 92-97 that. Never heard a name for one older, chevy or ford. Worth adding that 88/91-02 chevys are usually called OBS as well. Unnecessarily complicated ik Advice to OP: Avoid dodge like the plague, avoid any diesels as well. If you go chevy, get a 350.

Sep 26, 2023 · No Allison. ATS stage 5 e40d was like 5k a few years back. The first rebuild was only like 2k 10 years ago, guess that's why it failed. I just looked the ATS stage 5 is like 7.5k. I had a 5 gun tuner, turbo straight pipe, 10 inch lift with 40 inch tires so I went through a shit ton of suspension, hubs, trannys, etc.

Thoughts on a 97 OBS F-250 7.5 V8 manual 4x4? : r/FordTrucks
For the past almost 6 years my daily driver / tow rig has been an 89 F-350 crew cab long bed dually with a 7.5 l V8 and the 5-speed manual and it has honestly been the most reliable truck I have ever owned out of almost 40 vehicles.
