Nov 13, 2019 · The scammers are out there. I've run into it twice this year on Reverb on two different purchases. Reverb only seems to care about patronizing customers when calling about getting scammed and they are no help. Fraud that occurs through PayPal transactions on their web site leaves them incapable of doing anything.
Is Reverb's "Safe Shipping" insurance worth it or a scam?
Mar 6, 2024 · So I’m dealing with a Reverb Safe Shipping issue at the moment. Sold a $1200 guitar and unchecked the box since I thought my $75 UPS shipping label included insurance. Guitar gets lost at the hub. Reverb customer service wants to cover 50% of the refund. Is that the best I can do? What if the guitar arrives?
Reverb vs Ebay - Better buyer protections for used guitar?
Jul 14, 2022 · It's been a couple years but I dealt with a bad seller on Reverb (they sent me a B-stock guitar as "New") and they wouldn't accept returns even though I was within their advertised return window. I ended up taking it to a tech to get fixed and it cost me $100. I contacted Reverb about the situation and they gave me a $100 credit for my troubles.

Jul 3, 2018 · I usually don’t double up on reverb, no. I find the best way to do reverb, for everything to sit well in a mix, is to put one type of verb on a bus. Usually a large room or medium hall. Then dial in that verb per track, say 10-20%. A little goes a long way. But for guitar, amp reverb just sounds right to me.

Buying used guitars on reverb no longer makes sense
May 4, 2023 · This has been a constant complaint here about reverb sellers. I have always bought new guitars because with discount they almost cost the same as used on reverb. I now buy guitars from sweetwater because I can see the weight and also can examine the pics and judge quality of the guitar by knowing what to look for before buying.

Aug 21, 2010 · There's no electronic reason why you couldn't run two guitars through the same amp. Some things set on the preamp portion may affect both guitars, but nothing bad will happen, either to the guitars or to the amp. Fact is, a lot of early bands shared an amp between guitar players (and at gigging volume).
