Jun 4, 2013 · It takes two V8 aluminum heads with the end cylinder cut off each one, then some very tricky welding to get them all sealed together. After you get that done, you have to drill new head bolt holes ( they are not the same) in the block deck and seal the factory holes up.

Jan 21, 2016 · The Wayne heads are now collector's items. I did a web search for them a while back and found a website that listed where most of them are. With the 848 head professionally ported & shaved, full race cam, cast Fenton headers and dual two carbs you can get a bit over 200 hp out of a 261.

The Wayne GMC 12 port head used a stock valve cover and side plate, although the finned aluminum dual breather valve covers and aluminum side plates were decidedly a nice touch. The rockerams and shaft were also stock.

Aug 5, 2012 · For the wayne head on the chevy- check out the internet for "Wayne head"; "Wayne-Horning head" some were made for the GMCs too. Some were cast iron, but most were aluminum. Usually with nitro fuel they would produce over one horse per cubic inch.

Dec 23, 2017 · What I'm working on is a bed plate, and a crossflow 12 port head for the 235. It will probobly be similar in design to the wayne 12 port but use modern style rockers, wedge shaped combustion chamber, larger valves and aluminum as opposed to cast iron.
